Why bother?

Well, I just got back from a TDY on Teusday and I go again in a few weeks. Normally that wouldn't be a problem except this time my wife was so excited that I would be on day shift....... but now I'm back on swing shift. I literally exist at home maybe 2 or 3 hours a day at home when I'm on swings, so it probably would have been better just to keep me TDY and bring me back after it was all over. Saying I "dislike" my job would be putting it nicely..... I just pray that the crosstraining process goes through without any problems.
